To take a glimpse at the week via pros and cons. Because everything experienced doesn't always have a happy ending.
Pro- Stores that only sell sh*t for parties. The motherlands of all party supplies
Con- Party City- I entered with far too high of hopes to hit the jackpot on Nyke's baptismal celebration decor. Mint. Silver. White. The colors that seem quite simple and popular enough to have the best merchandise to choose from. Boy was I wrong. I found one set of mint-ish colored balloons, and 9 dollars later, I was only 30 balloons richer. Minus the helium. Waste of time.
Pro- Baby diapers.
Con- Finding out that we need to buy a size bigger diaper the smelly hard way. Talk about a steamy pair of (ruined) pants.
Pro- Nap time. Not just for myself but for my little bundle of joy to recharge his batteries. AKA give mama an hour (or more if i'm lucky) to accomplish some non-baby things.
Con- When the napper wakes up fully charged and you aren't ready for the destruction master. Side note- never start putting a piece of IKEA furniture together until babies are asleep for the night. Nap time only gives you just enough time to unload the box of a gazillion pieces and read the instruction novel.
Pro- Finding tissue paper at Walmart for a wopping 10 cents!
Con- Realizing how difficult it is to make tissue paper pom poms short notice for a party decoration.
Pro- Having another reason to dance my ass off and party like a rockstar before the weekend. Thanks to Whitney. #backthatazzup
Con- Procrastinating Being distracted from all the adult responsibilities and cleaning obligations that come along with a future baptismal party. Sorry, but dancing is and always will be more fun.
I hope I can be considered your personal trainer today for that one (compliments of my brother via text earlier yesterday).
